1st Grade 2nd Grade 3rd Grade 4th Grade
 

Kindergarten

 

  • Scissors (Fiskars blunt-end only)
  • 2 bottles of WHITE glue and 2 glue sticks.
  • 2 regular pencils (skinny)
  • 1 folder with brads
  • 1 (8 count) box of crayons (skinny)
  • 1 pack of water base markers (basic colors) NO PERMANENT MARKERS
  • “Kinder-Mat” Rest Mat (usually comes in Red/Blue Vinyl - ONLY BUY THE THIN MATS - NO THICK MATS WILL BE ACCEPTED, we have no room to store them.) Mats are only needed if your child will be staying past 2:00pm. You do not have to buy one if they are leaving.
  • Cover for Rest Mat which can be removed for washing (can be sewn from fabric- prewashed cotton is recommended /or body-sized pillow cases). Please have fasteners such as snaps, velcro etc....to keep cover secure. (no safety pins please) Please do not bring in pillows and blankets.
  • 1 8oz. jar of liquid WASHABLE tempera paint
  • $10.00 Materials Fee from each student to cover additional materials
    (Art supplies, paper, etc.) Cash or Checks made to Baxter Elementary School.


*** CRAYONS, MARKERS, PENCILS, ETC. MUST BE MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON IT (PERMANENT MARKER WORKS BEST). Please label each individual item, not on the container.

***Thank you for cooperating in obtaining supplies as they are requested. Our kindergarten teachers have used a variety of supplies with their students, and these listed seem to work best.

***You may purchase these supplies at Wal-Mart, K-mart, etc. or in the school store. (the school store has several Kinder-mats for sale)

***Individual teachers will provide a list of any additional items needed for their classrooms.

1st Grade

 

Please LABEL EVERYTHING with your CHILD’S NAME 

  1. Small (plastic) school box      
  2. 3 or 4 pencils (no mechanical pencils)
  3. 2 boxes of 24 count @Crayola Crayons
  4. 1 pair @FISKARS (blunt point) scissors
  5. 3 glue sticks
  6. 1 bottle of white school glue
  7. 4 PLASTIC pocket folders in solid colors (NO PICTURES)
  8. 2 sturdy pocket folders (with pictures on them)
  9. 1 Backpack
  10. 3 second grade tablets (These can only be purchased from the school supply store.)
  11. 1 package of dry erase markers  (red, blue, black, green ONLY)
  12. Individual pencil top erasers

  
The following items are greatly needed for your child’s classroom.  You are not required to purchase these items, but your help in supplying them would be very much appreciated.

  • Kleenex
  • Paper Towels
  • Wet wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Zip-lock bags
  • Band-aids
  • Construction paper
  • Treats* (NO CANDY, please)

                                                                
   *Treats can be small toys, pencils, erasers, etc.
 
For Bookkeeping purposes, all money MUST be sent to school in separate envelopes with the correct change enclosed in each envelope.  If you write a check, you must write it for the exact amount.  Please DO NOT combine money for different purposes.  EXAMPLE: Lunch money must be sent to the cafeteria.  DO NOT write a check for both lunch money and school supplies in the same check.  Write a separate check for each one.  Send all money in separate envelopes and label each envelope as follows.

First Grade Teachers will need the $10.00 Materials Fee to be paid by Monday, August 21.  If you can, please pay at registration or as soon as possible.  Make checks payable to:

2nd Grade

 

These supplies will be needed in order for your child to start work in the 2nd grade on July 31.

  • pencils
  • Fiskars scissors
  • box of crayons
  • large eraser
  • Elmer’s glue (white or clear)
  • (4) medium spiral notebooks
  • 2 pkgs. of 3rd grade paper*

(*These are to be bought at the school store.)

Each child will also need a small school box and a backpack.

Please do not send Trapper Keepers, there is no room in the desks for them.

The following items are needed for our classrooms. You are not required to purchase them, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • treats (individually wrapped)
  • Kleenex
  • paper towels
  • liquid soap
  • zip lock bags Band-Aids
    (Hefty One Zip bags are wonderful!)

Second grade teachers will need the $10.00 instructional money by August 21st in order to buy individual workbooks that your child will need at the beginning of school. Please send the money as soon as possible. Future school trips will be an additional cost.

3RD GRADE

 

Dear Parents,

We are excited about having your child in third grade this year. We are looking forward to a fabulous group. It will be a hard year--but a great one. Your child will have books to take care of and to study. They will learn cursive handwriting and timetables. We will also be changing classes this year for reading, English, spelling and math, which we are very excited about. Your child will really grow and change this year.

These are the supplies that your child will need to bring to class.
